English Language Competency (for non-native speakers of the English language only):   Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence that their English language ability meets the  required standard for admission.  The required standard is results from an acceptable English language proficiency test, e.g., IELTS or TOEFL.  You will require a score of 6.5 in the IELTS exams which is equivalent to a TOEFL score of 580 (paper-based) or 240  (computer-based).  For Science and Engineering, the requirement is an IELTS score of 6.0 / TOEFL score of 540. In all cases this exam  must be undertaken no more than two years prior to the commencement of your programme at the University.
